Manager, Corporate Development
EasyPayroll Global Limited Ireland and their local affiliate ITOS BrasilLTDA is looking to hire a Manager, Corporate Development, to provideservices to companies within the Perseus Group (“Perseus”).
Perseus is an Operating Group of ConstellationSoftware Inc. (csisoftware.com | TSX:CSU), a Canadian-based publiclyheld company. Perseus has over 6,000 employees, across 70+ softwarebusiness units, operating in 12+ software industry verticals, andlocated in over 40 offices.
The Role:
The servicesto be provided by the Manager, Corporate Development, encompassesbuilding strong strategic business relationships that lead to thesourcing of current and future M&A opportunities for Perseus. Theserelationships will be formed with software company decision makers(e.g. CEOs, VPs of Corporate Development, founders, and/or owners) ofsoftware companies, M&A advisors, and private equity/ venture capitalprofessionals. Success in this role is defined by building andmaintaining meaningful relationships that ultimately lead to Perseus’acquisition of software companies.
The process ofinitiating relationships, maintaining relationships, and ultimatelymaking an acquisition typically takes multiple years. Measurableoutcomes, continuous value-add through many M&A conversations/relationships, and high-quality market research are what ultimatelygenerate successful acquisitions through time.
Outcomes:
- Develop and manage an M&A pipelinethrough Salesforce CRM and create market maps to build strongrelationships in assigned software industry vertical(s).
- Meetand exceed monthly M&A targets, such as meaningful contacts and othermeasurable M&A sourcing KPIs.
- Work both autonomously and withM&A leadership to qualify M&A opportunities with efficiency.
- Ensure the lead database is allocated accurately withinportfolio verticals.
- Effectively qualify opportunities at thetop-end of the acquisition funnel to maintain focus for the PortfolioManagers of the business units.
Relevant Experience & Competencies:
- Atleast 3+ years of experience in a Business Development/Sales positionat a software company or client-facing M&A/finance role withinbusiness development, sales, and/or account management. Preference forexperience in outbound-focused origination roles.
- A clearinterest in developing a long-term pipeline of meaningfulrelationships with prospects as a career trajectory within softwareinvesting.
- Previous high-performance in Business Development,winning in an autonomous role, or prior success in other walks of lifeoutside professional BD experience, such as entrepreneurship, will beconsidered.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills,with the confidence and executive presence to speak with CEOs, M&Aadvisors, corporate development, private equity and venture capitalprofessionals.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to workvariable hours.
- Extraordinary work ethic, proactive with asense of urgency.
Other Requirements:
- This role will require occasional in-person travel,which may include Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and/orPeru, and can be primarily performed remotely.
