Additional Job Description

We are seeking to strengthen our team with a skilled ADABAS Data Administrator/Engineer in the Mainframe Database area. The role involves system installations, upgrades, performance tuning, problem resolution, and technical support.

The job includes on-call duties approximately every 6th week.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure the stability and availability of production, development, test, and training application environments.
• Manage incidents, problems, and changes within ITSM processes.
• Install, implement, configure, and test fixes and products.
• Manage the lifecycle of products.
• Monitor and optimize system and product performance.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding support cases.
• Provide technical consultation and support to users and teams.
• Draft clear and concise instructions as needed.
• Participate in internal and external projects and assignments.
• Attend daily huddles and mandatory meetings.
• Follow structured workflows and objectives set by a remote team leader.
• Share knowledge and support colleagues to contribute to team efforts.

Primary Skills

• Proficiency in English.
• Broad knowledge of z/OS and OS environments.
• Programming skills in JCL and Rexx.
• Experience with automation tools like Netview SA.
• Knowledge of TSO/ISPF.
• Experience maintaining client applications, databases, document repositories, and application interfaces.
• Understanding of Adabas on z/OS at a systems programmer level.
