Kyndryl is seeking a System Administrator to solve complex issues across mainframe and distributed platforms, using ISPF, TSO, JCL, and WebSphere JVMs.

You will mentor peers, drive operational excellence, and collaborate with global teams. Strong English skills and availability from 2 pm to 11 pm are essential; Windows Server, VMware ESX, Citrix, MQ, and ELK tooling experience are valued.

Qualificações

• Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Team Leader.
• Unix/Linux environments: directory navigation (cd, ls, pwd), file manipulation (cp, mv, rm, cat, tail-f).
• Permissions management (chmod), processes management (ps, kill); read and edit scripts and logs.
• Execute and validate SQL queries: intermediate-level (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN); data corrections with INSERT/UPDATE.
• Use Postman/APIs for requests (GET, POST, PUT) and validate status codes and payloads.
• Observability tools (Kibana, ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana) for log search and analysis.
• Fluent English.
• Availability to work from 2 pm to 11 pm.
• Bachelor’s degree

The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients—some of the biggest in the world.

You will manage and support mainframe environments using ISPF, TSO utilities, JCL, Control‑M (BMC), DB2 tables, and dataset handling, ensuring reliable batch and online processing. The role also supports distributed systems across Unix and Windows platforms, including administration of WebSphere JVMs, Citrix environments, messaging middleware (MQ), and virtualized infrastructures using VMware ESX. You are also responsible for the implementation, management, and operational support of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 environments.

As a technical leader, you contribute to problem resolution, operational excellence, and service continuity, while mentoring peers and collaborating with global teams. Strong communication skills and fluent English are essential to effectively engage with stakeholders, vendors, and international partners.

There’s never a typical day—as a System Administrator, no two projects are alike. You’ll manage systems data for clients, provide day‑to‑day solutions and security compliance, oversee a queue of assignments, and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Team Leader
• Monitor jobs in Control‑M (BMC) including status verification, log analysis, rerun of failed jobs, and parameter updates via Desktop or Web client.
• Work with Unix/Linux environments: directory navigation (cd, ls, pwd), file manipulation (cp, mv, rm, cat, tail‑f)
• Permissions management (chmod), processes management (ps, kill), read and edit scripts and logs
• Execute and validate SQL queries: intermediate‑level queries (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN) for data validation; perform INSERT and UPDATE for targeted data corrections.
• Use Postman/APIs for requests (GET, POST, PUT) and validate status codes and response payloads.
• Utilize observability tools (Kibana, ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana) for log search and analysis, error pattern identification, dashboard analysis, identification of bottlenecks, unexpected behaviors.
• Fluent English
