The Loss Prevention Specialist will work on-site at Amazon's Cabo de Santo Agostinho/PE Sort Center (SC) Operations.
This role will be responsible for UTR (Under The Roof) securing Amazon's people, assets and informations by implementing, leading and managing BR's Security & Loss Prevention program on-site.
This role is responsible for performing investigations of Theft, Workplace Violence, Incident Management, and physical building security. Responsible for leading the structure that provides security services and asset protection (lives, buildings, equipment, data, analytics, and intellectual property) efficiently and effectively. The Loss Prevention Specialist is an important member of the operational organization, working with the SC operational team, as well as with cross-functional teams throughout the organization, ensuring standards.

Key job responsibilities
- Management of security team contract;
- Enhance, monitor, and report metrics that are key performance indicators, enabling performance improvements so that desired results are achieved according to plan and in a timely manner;
- Lead internal and external theft and fraud investigations and conduct interviews when appropriate;
- Effectively handle security incidents, including potential and actual workplace violence incidents, in accordance with policy, as well as conduct incident response plan testing;
- Ensure team members understand, align performance and actions, and can clearly articulate the organization's and department's vision and values;
- Act as department liaison and security subject matter expert;
- Develop business cases that receive necessary approval, financial and technical resources, and appropriate management support to implement desired changes;
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency;
- Recruit, hire, develop and retain people who elevate the performance level of the security services organization when necessary;
- Be able to work with multiple teams and exercise influence and impact on key stakeholders.- Complete Bachelor degree;
- Experience in loss prevention activities, asset protection, and property security.
- Experience in companies with logistics operations, industry, manufacturing environments, and interaction with different stakeholders;
- Intermediate English (spoken and written communication skills);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel;
- Availability to work flexible hours/shifts, including weekends and holidays;
- Availability for domestic travel - 5-10% travel per year.- Experience leading teams and providing management, leadership, and guidance to team members as needed.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts and certification desired.
- Knowledge of data handling for decision making and using databases (querying and analysis), such as SQL, MYSQL, Access, exception-based reporting, etc.
- Experience with warehouse or distribution center services.
- Interview and interrogation experience is desired, and Wicklander-Zulawski certification is a plus.
- Analytical ability with experience in performance-based management, action and results-oriented, project management, and effective problem solving.
