A leading company in logistics is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee carrier management and operational capacity planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience in managing teams, and excellent communication skills. The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing a team of carrier management specialists monitoring carriers performance, compliance, planning weekly and 12-week operational capacity plan in coordination with internal as well as external stakeholders. The role requires someone who has a larger picture of customer experience in mind and high willingness to take ownership. The role also requires a candidate who has skills in identifying patterns along with ability to scrutinize details and suggest solutions to deviations.
Key job responsibilities
- Select, train and manage carrier relationship specialists
- Accumulate data from various sources and identify the relevant data out of it and present in a way that would help take action
- Foresee implications based on current data and trend and take necessary actions
- Be organized, apt and prompt in notifying the situation and updating the same
- Serve as a liaison between the internal and external stakeholders keeping in mind the objectives, limits, conformance and information privacy
- Dive Deep on operational issues root causes;
- Create and track operational metrics
- Willing to work during weekends/holidays- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Employee and performance management experience
- Advanced English Skills- Performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
