A Snapshot of Your Day

Position Overview: Siemens Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Leader to oversee and manage all regional logistics operations within the SE BRAZIL Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective logistics processes, optimizing supply chain operations, and leading a team of logistics professionals. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic/operational thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  1. Develop and implement logistics solutions to support business demands and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  2. Oversee and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, inbound and outbound operations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and sales, to optimize supply chain processes and improve overall efficiency.
  4. Lead and provide guidance, logistics training, and best practice sharing.
  5. Continuously track and analyze logistics performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies related to logistics and supply chain operations.
  7. Manage relationships with logistics service providers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  9. Stay updated on industry/market trends, best practices, sustainability, and emerging technologies to continuously improve logistics operations.

Major specific key tasks and functional area’s with full accountability:

  1. Implementing the strategic functions of Brazil Logistics in close collaboration with Global SE LOG at HQ.
  2. Implement and execute the global/local SE LOG strategy in/for Brazil with regards to warehousing, packaging, and transportation.
  3. Ensure high-professional operational logistics planning and execution.
  4. Close collaboration with all SE Business Areas (including onboarding of BA Windpower).
  5. Achieve superior operational performance and customer satisfaction.
  6. Ensure and identify efficiency opportunities (in cost, performance, quality).
  7. Pro-active Supplier Management with all local/global strategic/operational Logistics Service Providers (LSP).
  8. Ensure high professional logistics processes and all operations in full compliance with Policies and Standards of SE.
  9. Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop SE LOG BR projects.
  10. Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
  11. Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
  12. Providing financial reports and budget outlines to Executives and Senior Managers.
  13. Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
  14. Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification.

What You Bring

  1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  2. Experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing logistics operations in a regional or global context.
  4. Strong knowledge of logistics processes, transportation management, warehousing, and inventory control.
  5. Outstanding and proven cross-business/x-BA collaboration and pro-active networking and teamwork.
  6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  9. Proficiency in logistics software and tools, such as SAP or similar systems.
  10. Fluency in English and Portuguese is required; knowledge of German is a plus.

About the Team

The Head of Logistics Excellence & Logistics Operation at SE Brazil will report disciplinary to the SE LOG Logistics Head of Brazil/LATAM as Line Manager and functionally to Corporate Logistics (SE LOG) at HQ in Germany.
