Main Responsibilities:
- Preventive consultancy/advice to internal areas, such as Marketing, Trade Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Human Resources within South America Region, in order to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, avoiding/mitigating risks to the business.
- Preparation, review of contracts in general and constant improvement of standardized models and drafts. Acting in the implementation and maintenance of contracts/requests management system of the legal department, ensuring compliance with internal policies while contributing to the development of flows and processes to ensure efficiency.
- Monitoring the Territory for legal issues and/or regulatory changes that could impact the business (e.g., labeling requirements, advertisement restrictions, labor requirements, data privacy, etc.), and communicate and recommend related responses within respective management.
- Support Regional/Global Legal Network within the Region as needed (Business Integrity, Data Responsibility, Corporate Secretariat, IP, etc.).
- Management of judicial and administrative proceedings sponsored by external law firms, preparation of monthly reports, procedural strategies.
- Union negotiations, drafting of collective agreements, monitoring of inspections and procedures before competent bodies; support to HR in labor relations and practices.
- On behalf of the Company, provide constructive interaction with groups of influence (government bodies, public organizations, business associations, industry associations, trade unions, media, leaders of public opinion, but not limited to them) in the Region.
- Represent the Company's interests in the relevant professional and/or industry associations and express the Company's opinion on key issues that have a wide public resonance and special significance for business within working groups, public events, etc.
- Budget management and payment of fees. People management and development.
