Legal Counsel - Brazil

Provides legal advice to Boston Scientific Brazil across various areas, including regulatory compliance, employment, product liability, contracts, securities, acquisitions, and more. Manages litigation strategies and oversees outside counsel for legal documentation and litigation handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, advise, and approve contracts in areas such as distribution, consulting, non-disclosure, real estate, research, clinical investigations, asset purchases, mergers, and acquisitions to protect BSC's interests.
• Review and approve legal documents related to non-patent litigation, including pleadings and motions; prepare BSC witnesses for depositions with outside counsel.
• Negotiate settlements and represent the company during mediations.
• Review and approve marketing materials and advise on legal compliance in marketing and sales; support HR on policies, procedures, and employment law matters.
• Support acquisitions through due diligence, FTC filings, employment and benefits advice, and coordinating outside counsel.
• Supervise legal staff, oversee performance evaluations, and manage disciplinary actions.
• Provide legal assistance in other areas as needed.
• Advise on regulatory and quality compliance issues.
