Role Description

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying training needs and developing comprehensive programs to bridge skills or knowledge gaps. Your responsibilities will include creating engaging instructor-led sessions, designing interactive webinars, and developing online learning modules to complement live training sessions. You'll collaborate closely with subject matter experts to create relevant content and promote training opportunities to employees. Additionally, you'll assess and update training programs periodically to ensure they remain current and aligned with organizational needs.

Principle Accountabilities:

  1. Conducts training needs assessments and identifies skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed with training programs.
  2. Creates engaging instructor led sessions that provide opportunity for interaction, collaboration and learning.
  3. Builds annual programs based on needs to include interactive webinars, LMS courses, and instructor led classroom training.
  4. Creates online learning modules to complement live sessions and address learning needs.
  5. Markets and promotes available training to employees and provides necessary information about sessions.
  6. Collaborates with subject matter experts from across the business and involves them in the development of related content.
  7. Periodically evaluates ongoing programs to ensure that they remain accurate and relevant to the audience.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  1. Passion for learning and developing others.
  2. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  3. Innovative and able to advise on latest trends in virtual learning.
  4. Hands-on experience coordinating or executing events/programs.
  5. Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, deliver, monitor and evaluate).
  6. High attention to detail and QA of materials and courses.
  7. Local language and proficient in English - written and speaking.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint & Teams and ability to learn new software for content creation.
