Volis is transforming data into actionable insights using modern tech. As Lead Software Engineer, you will shape the platform architecture for mining industry solutions, stay hands-on, guide a growing team, and ensure high-quality delivery.

You will work with a stack centered on Clojure, React, PostgreSQL, and GCP, coordinating with English-speaking clients and a global team to deliver scalable, reliable software that turns operational needs into concrete technical outcomes.

• Proven ability to build and operate production software with strong design and API skills.
• Experience guiding architecture decisions, code reviews and mentoring.

Your journey as a Lead Software Engineer:

As a Lead Software Engineer at Volis, you will play a key role in building our platform for the mining industry, from technical vision to production. You will join a small team where your decisions shape both the product and the way we build it. You will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the technical vision:Define architecture, technical standards and priorities for the platform, balancing speed of delivery with long-term scalability.
• Stay hands-on:Write code, review pull requests and tackle the hardest technical problems alongside the team.
• Develop the team:Mentor engineers, give regular feedback and help grow the team as the company scales, including taking part in hiring.
• Ship with quality:Own engineering practices such as testing, CI/CD, observability and code review, so we deliver reliably and predictably.
• Directly impact the business:Work closely with the business to turn real operational needs in mining into well-scoped technical solutions.

• Solid engineering foundations: Experience building and running production software, with deep knowledge of software design, data modeling and APIs.
• Technical leadership:Experience leading technical decisions and guiding other engineers through architecture choices, code reviews and mentoring.

• Results-oriented:Ability to deliver projects with quality and within established deadlines.
