ADP is hiring a Lead Quality Assurance Automation – Lyric Team

You will start your day with a scrum call to sync up the sprint work and goals with your team. Most of your day will be spent continuously evaluating existing test coverage, identifying gaps, and implementing test strategies to maximize confidence in automation and ensure product quality. Your role also involves advocating for necessary changes to improve the end-user experience.

In this role, you will collaborate with the development team and Product Owner to gather details on features to develop and use that information to build and execute product testing for ADP's web-based Human Resources solutions, ensuring usability before deployment. This role is critical to ensuring we deploy usable products.

Hybrid work model, reporting directly to our Porto Alegre Office location.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

Demonstrates advanced understanding and experience in:

• Quality Assurance Analyst / Test Engineer
• Selenium
• Test Automation
• Java, JavaScript/TypeScript
• BDD/Cucumber
• Jenkins
• Writing Test Scenarios
• Using API testing
• Testing web UI and API applications
• Working with Continuous Integration processes and tools like Jenkins

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

• Agile. You understand that an agile environment requires flexibility. Sometimes the scope is not fully defined, and you'll need to communicate with the Product Owner and team to gather more details and refine User Stories. You and the team will define the sprint goal together. Working in two-week sprints, you need to adhere to timelines. Due to time constraints and work fluidity, you may need to take a creative approach to testing strategies. Starting test development in parallel with feature development may be an option.
• Create & Test. You'll define test plans and scenarios and implement automated test cases for large-scale, complex software applications, focusing on verification and validation from a system and end-user perspective.
• Collaborate. You will communicate and collaborate with developers and stakeholders, articulating clear reasons to persuade for product improvements benefiting the end user.
• Learning. You are eager to learn new coding skills and figure things out as you go.
• Challenges. You will encounter challenges and will be expected to find solutions.
