EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Python Engineer to drive backend development and design scalable cloud-native services. You will build APIs and microservices in Python, and collaborate with DevOps, QA, product and engineering teams.

The role requires 5+ years in software development with 1+ year in leadership, strong Python backend skills, and experience with FastAPI, Flask or Django, cloud platforms, REST APIs and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
• Solid background in Python backend development
• Familiarity with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask or Django
• Practical experience using AWS, Azure or GCP
• Proven track record building REST APIs and microservices
• Sound knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Exposure to CI/CD, testing and modern software engineering practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
