Avenue Code in Brazil is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer/SRE to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. You will own IaC with Terraform, modern CI/CD pipelines, and robust deployment automation, working closely with software teams to improve operability.

You will drive observability, incident response, and engineering best practices, mentor colleagues, and help set platform standards to raise reliability and performance across distributed systems.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or Infra Engineering.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure and cloud environments
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and related tools
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes
• Implement observability strategies including logging, monitoring, alerting, and metrics collection
• Improve reliability, availability, and performance of distributed systems
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to streamline developer workflows
• Create automation scripts and tooling to reduce manual operational effort
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and production support activities
• Contribute to platform architecture decisions and engineering best practices
• Mentor engineers and help establish strong platform engineering standards

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Solid knowledge of observability tools and monitoring concepts
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar
• Experience working with distributed systems and cloud-native environments
• Strong understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals
• Experience with Git workflows and automation practices
• Professional communication skills in English
