Role Overview:

We are looking for a Lead Editor with a strong editorial voice, excellent leadership skills, and a deep enthusiasm for niche and obscure media. You’ll shape the editorial tone of Lost Media, manage a small team of writers and researchers, and ensure all content meets the highest standards of quality, clarity, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the day-to-day editorial workflow and publishing calendar

* Edit and approve articles, research pieces, and media features

* Supervise and mentor writers, editors, and contributors

* Ensure factual accuracy and consistency in content

* Identify trending topics and opportunities for deeper research

* Collaborate with design, research, and social teams

* Maintain the unique tone and community-driven ethos of Lost Media

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven editorial experience (3+ years preferred)

* Passion for internet culture, archival research, and niche media history

* Excellent writing, editing, and fact-checking skills

* Experience leading editorial teams or managing editors

* Strong communication and organizational abilities

* Familiarity with WordPress, SEO basics, and multimedia content a plus

Compensation:

Salary is competitive and based on experience. This is a full-time role (6 days per week), with flexibility for remote work.
