ADP is hiring a Lead DevOps - Lyric Team

The DevOps Engineer (Reliability Engineer) is responsible for managing infrastructure, configuration, and pipeline automation to ensure efficient delivery and reliable operations of ADP Multi-National Country (MNC) products across all environments, from development to production and disaster recovery. They oversee availability, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning to enhance the client experience.

Work Model: Hybrid, reporting directly to our Porto Alegre Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in and improve the entire service lifecycle—from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to understand product development standards and recommend improvements for increased stability.
  • Develop software to enhance DevOps, ITOps, and support processes supporting the "Infrastructure as Code" and "Platform as a Service" models.
  • Perform safe and reliable deployments of software artifacts across environments—from Development and Staging to Production.
  • Support services pre-launch through system design consulting, software platform development, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
  • Maintain live services by monitoring availability, latency, and system health.
  • Scale systems sustainably via automation and drive system improvements to enhance reliability and velocity.
  • Analyze system issues, identify root causes, and manage recovery processes to ensure quick restoration without data loss.
  • Collaborate with other SRE teams within ADP to improve operations and cross-team efficiency.
  • Participate in migrating products from Data Centers to AWS Cloud and adopt Cloud-Native DevOps practices.
  • Stay updated with state-of-the-art technology, especially in data center and cloud operations.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience/Skills:

  • Experience working within a Scrum methodology.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Deep knowledge of version control systems, especially GIT.
  • Experience with DevOps processes and tools supporting Microservice development.
  • Experience building Docker containers and managing Kubernetes deployments.
  • CI/CD expertise, particularly with Jenkins and Groovy.
  • Proficiency in deploying and managing cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Groovy, PowerShell, or similar.
  • Experience deploying and managing Windows Servers, including networking and security.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk or Dynatrace.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server and MongoDB is a plus.
