We are looking for a Lead backend Engineer to work on a project in the data analytics industry.

You will be part of a distributed team developingnew technologies to solve real business problems. Our client isseeking an energetic individual with experience building cloud-firstsoftware in AWS to join their team in developing cutting-edge, customanalytics and data socialization solutions. In this role, you willcollaborate with other engineers and teams to build their datasocialization and visualization application, Atlas.

What you will do:

• Collaboratewith the team to develop and maintain the backend functionalities ofthe Atlas platform.
• Collaborate with the team to develop andmaintain AWS platform operations, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests, adhering tobest practices in testing.
• Participate in Code Review andPeer Programming as needed.
• Collaborate with the Frontend,Data Engineering, and Product teams to align on project requirementsand features.
• Produce Technical Requirements Documents fornew features.
• Schedule and lead design meetings withcross-functional teams.
• Break down technical epics intomanageable stories for estimation and execution.
• Ensureefficient and effective communication across teams via Slack, Zoom,and email.
• Understand business requirements and suggestengineering solutions to address business challenges.
• Engagein client interactions, providing technical insights and support asneeded.
• Participate in an off-hours on-call rotation toprovide platform support and address critical issues as they arise.

What you will bring:

• Proficiency in Cloud technologies (AWS ideally).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker.
• Strongprogramming skills in high-level languages such as Python, Java, orGolang.
• Experience working with SQL and KeyStores.
• Experience in creating and managing Docker containers andusing orchestration services like ECS and EKS.
• Experience with software design patterns/designidioms in distributed and serverless architectures.

Nice to have:

• Experience withstatistical programming, ideally in R or Python.
• Developmentexperience in a Linux or Mac environment.
• Experience with integrating Business Intelligence/DataVisualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
• Experience withTerraform, Snowflake, Databricks, Athena, GraphQL.
