Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Lead AndroidDeveloper to guide the development and delivery of a major app rebuildproject. The successful candidate will oversee the Android componentof the application, ensuring that technical design, feasibility, anddelivery stay aligned with overall project goals. This role willrequire close collaboration with global architects, stakeholders, andcross-functional development teams.
The Android Lead will beresponsible for owning communication between internal and externalteams, evaluating the feasibility of proposed solutions, and guidingthe app through a significant architectural transformation—not justvisual changes, but foundational rework as well. With a releasescheduled for September, the ideal candidate will be confident intaking full ownership, able to work independently, and experienced inmanaging both code and people.
This is a remote contract positionrequiring EST working hours. Occasional travel may be involved. Idealcandidates will be proactive, technically sound, and skilled atdriving results within tight timelines.
Must haves:

• 7+years of experience in
  Android development
  using AndroidSDK
  and modern Android frameworks
• 6+ years of codingexperience in
  Kotlin
• Strong understandingof
  MVVM
  and other architectural design patterns such as, MVP,and MVI
• Experience leading Android development teams, bothfrom a technical and people-management perspective
• Provenexperience with
  Android Jetpack
  libraries and designingscalable, maintainable app architecture
• Ability to evaluatefeasibility of solutions and own delivery of Android components
• Strong communication and client management skills, with theability to liaise between technical teams and stakeholders
• Experience working closely with architects to ensurealignment between technical design and business deliverables
• Comfortable taking ownership over app delivery and leadingcross-functional discussions
  Nice to have:
• Experiencewith Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM)
• Familiarity withcloud-based development and deployment strategies
• Previousexperience with large-scale app redesigns or architecturaloverhauls
