Job summary

Asia Grand Pte. Ltd. in Brazil is seeking a packing-focused worker to fold and pack laundry items to required standards. You will verify orders, inspect items for stains or damage, and maintain packing supplies and a clean work area.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to work shifts including weekends and holidays. On-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; on-the-job training provided.
• Prior experience in laundry, housekeeping or packing is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, especially in spotting stains and damage.
• Able to follow instructions and packing standards accurately.
• Able to stand for long periods and handle repetitive folding and lifting tasks.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as rostered.
• 6-days work week

Responsibilities

• Fold and pack all laundry neatly and according to required standards.
• Ensure all items are packed according to order; check type and quantity before sealing and labeling.
• Inspect items for stains, tears or damage and report to supervisor.
• Keep packing materials stocked and inform supervisor when stock runs low.
• Maintain a clean, safe folding and packing area and follow hygiene procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

• Folding and packing
  - Fold and pack all laundry neatly.
  - Fold and pack in accordance with the required standards and specifications for each item or client.
• Order accuracy
  - Ensure all processed laundry is packed according to order.
  - Check item type and quantity against the order before sealing and labelling.
• Quality checks
  - Inspect each item for stains, tears or other damage before packing.
  - Report all stains and damage to the supervisor before packing, and set affected items aside for rewash or follow-up.
• Materials and tools
  - Ensure work materials and tools are well stocked, including but not limited to plastic bags, teabags and packing supplies.
  - Inform the supervisor early when stock runs low.
• Workplace upkeep and safety
  - Keep the folding and packing area clean and organised.
  - Follow workplace safety and hygiene procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
