Qualificações

  • 2 anos de experiência em função científica ou operacional.

Job description

You will play an essential role in supporting operational activities within the organization, especially by enabling seamless, high-quality and effective genetic diagnosis of cancer and rare diseases.

Main responsibilities
  • Manage operational and logistical activities for specific projects supporting genetic diagnostics across Europe, including the active search for logistical solutions to optimize sample transportation and processing within the region.
  • Ensure traceability, quality, and efficiency in all processes involved.
  • Analyze and ensure compliance with regional norms and regulations, particularly those related to the handling and transportation of biological samples across European countries.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to communicate and formalize processes for new projects or process changes.
  • Conduct training for operational teams of clients and partners, following Mendelics’ guidelines and policies.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement discussions and participate in scheduled training.
  • Prepare written reports and deliver oral presentations to analyze project data and outcomes.

Requirements and skills
  • A degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or similar fields).
  • About 2 years of experience, ideally within a scientific or operational role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data or samples.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables).
  • Basic knowledge of Molecular Biology or genomics is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, with a proactive attitude to identifying and resolving challenges.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of English (both written and spoken) is required to effectively communicate with international teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge or interest in analyzing logistics solutions, regional regulations, and compliance requirements is a differential.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure the best service for clients, patients, and medical professionals.
  • Communicate regularly with the team to coordinate global project management.
  • Support the logistics of biological sample management across European countries, with a focus on resolution, proactivity, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Oversee sample traceability, validation, and verification for processing.
  • Provide technical and operational support to patients and treating physicians, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Analyze project data based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in invoicing processes based on the demand for tests and work with relevant internal teams.
  • Propose and participate in the continuous improvement of tools and processes used by the team.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, or client visits as needed.
