Job summary

CI&T Brazil is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines across ingestion to the Power BI semantic layer. You will design and govern Bronze/Silver/Gold architectures and drive scalable ETL/ELT processes in Azure.

You will lead a team of engineers, optimize performance, cost, and data quality, and collaborate with ERP/CRM integrations and core data architects. Fluency in English required; experience with Fabric, OneLake, and DAX is essential.

• End-to-end Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architectures.
• Azure Data Factory pipeline design and data contract definition.
• Power BI semantic modeling and advanced DAX authoring.
• ERP/CRM integration into unified data platform.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to meet pipeline SLAs.
• Professional English proficiency (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Own the complete data chain for the Foundation Pod, including ingestion and the Power BI semantic layer.
• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and gold datasets.
• Develop and govern high-performance Power BI semantic models and dashboards.
• Implement robust Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and integration layers.
• Establish automated quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring.
• Coordinate integrations between ERP/CRM sources and analytics platforms.
• Lead engineering work, uphold pipeline SLAs, and document architecture.
• Collaborate with Core Team's Data Architect on platform standards.

What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities)

• End-to-End Ownership: Lead the complete data chain for the Foundation Pod, covering ingestion, Bronze, Silver, Gold layers, and the Power BI semantic layer.

• Pipeline Development: Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and Gold certified datasets to drive BI and analytics.

• Semantic Modeling & BI: Develop and govern high-performance Power BI semantic models and dashboards.

• Data Architecture: Implement robust Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and integration layers aligned with the global data strategy.

• Data Quality & Governance: Establish automated quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring systems to ensure maximum accuracy and reliability.

• System Integration: Develop integrations between ERP/CRM sources, third-party tools, and analytics platforms, coordinating with the Core Team's Data Architect on platform standards.

• Performance & Cost Optimization: Fine-tune query performance, monitor pipeline execution times, and manage cloud storage/compute costs.

• Technical Leadership: Direct the work of peer engineers, uphold strict pipeline SLAs, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

What We Are Looking For (Required Skills)

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake (or equivalent Azure data platform experience).

• Proven track record designing Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architectures end-to-end.

• Expertise in Azure Data Factory pipeline design and data contract definition.

• Deep experience in Power BI semantic modeling and advanced DAX authoring.

• Practical experience integrating ERP and CRM source systems into a unified data platform.

• Strong technical leadership skills (ability to direct engineering work and hold pipeline SLAs).

• Professional English proficiency (B2+ level or higher).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Infor SyteLine or Infor ION integrations.

• Experience handling regulated or medical-device data within an ISO 13485 context.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep or Terraform) and CI/CD for data pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with source systems like OneStream, Workday, or Fusion PLM.
