Position: Software Engineer for Cloud Security Blueprints

We are seeking a software engineer to develop cloud security blueprints for the Google Cloud Platform, which contain security best practices used by the largest companies globally.

A blueprint is a package of deployable, reusable modules and policies that implement and document a specific security solution.

Development work involves open source projects.

Background, Skills, and Experience:

1. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (2+ years);
2. Infrastructure automation with Terraform (1+ years);
3. Solid background in software development, Java, Python, or Go (3+ years);
4. Proficiency in English (CEFR B2);
5. Ability to understand and develop requirements independently, demonstrating results and progress;
6. Skill in testing, investigating, analyzing, solving, and communicating problems;
7. Ability to propose, discuss solutions, and incorporate feedback;
8. Complete software engineering capabilities: from understanding the problem to delivering solutions, including testing (manual and automated) and technical documentation;
9. Ability to automate and optimize development tasks;
10. Enjoyment in quickly learning and applying new technologies.

Additional Experiences:

1. Experience with multiple programming languages;
2. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure security;
3. Knowledge of Kubernetes and GKE;
4. Possession of GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect, Security Engineer, Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Developer, or Cloud Network Engineer;
5. Terraform certification;
6. Other relevant GCP certifications;
7. Proficiency in English (CEFR C1+).
