Job summary

CI&T is seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer to evolve a web application, build enterprise integrations, and scale document processing. You will work across front-end and back-end, translating designs into high‑quality user experiences and versioned APIs.

You will integrate with SAP S/4HANA and Ivalua, use Next.js, React, TypeScript, Python and Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, and Celery to handle large document workloads.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in full-stack development across modern frontend and backend stacks.
• Strong Python and Django REST Framework API development.
• Solid PostgreSQL knowledge and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild and enhance the web application based on design mockups using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Develop user-facing features, including PDF grounding views for document validation.
• Design, develop, and maintain versioned APIs using Python and Django REST Framework.
• Build and maintain integrations between Pegasus, SAP S/4HANA, and Ivalua.
• Scale asynchronous batch processing with Celery for large document sets.
• Work with PostgreSQL to support data management and persistence.
• Implement user metrics to inform data-driven improvements.
• Ensure quality via automated tests, code reviews, and documentation.
• Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Full-stack Engineer to help evolve a web application, build reliable enterprise integrations, and scale document processing capabilities.

In this role, you will work across front-end and back-end development, translating design specifications into high-quality user experiences while developing versioned APIs and scalable processing workflows. You will contribute to integrations with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and Ivalua, helping deliver robust and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild and enhance the web application based on the Design team's mockups, using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Develop user-facing features, including PDF grounding views that help users review and validate information extracted from documents.
• Design, develop, and maintain versioned APIs using Python and Django REST Framework.
• Build and maintain integrations between Pegasus, SAP S/4HANA, and Ivalua, ensuring reliable data exchange across systems.
• Scale asynchronous batch processing with Celery to support workloads involving up to 10,000 PDF documents.
• Work with PostgreSQL to support application data management and persistence.
• Implement user metrics to provide insights into application usage and support data-driven improvements.
• Ensure application quality through automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the application, APIs, integrations, and background processing workflows.
• Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with business needs.

Requirements for this challenge

• Strong professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Hands‑on experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience developing APIs with Django REST Framework.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including data modeling and database interactions.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating external enterprise systems.
• Experience with asynchronous task processing and background jobs, particularly Celery.
• Understanding of scalable application architecture, performance optimization, and reliable data processing.
• Experience translating design mockups into responsive, user‑friendly interfaces.
• Knowledge of software testing, version control, code reviews, and maintainable coding practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and take ownership of technical solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA and procurement or enterprise platforms such as Ivalua.
• Experience processing large volumes of documents, particularly PDFs.
• Familiarity with document preview, annotation, grounding, or validation interfaces.
• Experience implementing product analytics, user metrics, and usage tracking.
• Knowledge of cloud‑based deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and application observability.
• Experience improving the performance and reliability of distributed processing workflows.
