Java Technical Lead

Job Title: Senior Java Developer / Technical Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer / Technical Lead to join our dynamic team in Alphaville, São Paulo. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in enterprise application development, cloud deployment (preferably GCP), and data transformation projects. You will lead and mentor a development team while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as the primary technical liaison between Scrum Masters/Product Owners and the development team.
2. Lead and mentor team members, fostering a productive and collaborative working environment.
3. Track and resolve technical issues and provide solutions for complex problems.
4. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate workflow and project execution.
5. Represent the development team in technical discussions and forums.
6. Ensure timely updates and reporting to supervisors regarding team activities and progress.
7. Translate technical requirements into detailed design and development plans.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. 10+ years of overall experience in software development with 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
2. 7+ years of experience in enterprise application development using Java/J2EE and Spring Framework.
3. 5+ years of hands-on experience in data transformation and migration projects.
4. Strong experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
5. Proven expertise in building RESTful APIs and defining contracts (YAML, WSDL).
6. Proficient in working with data formats such as AVRO, JSON, XML, and their schemas.
7. Solid understanding of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Maven, Gradle.
8. Hands-on with version control tools like GIT, Bitbucket, SVN, and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
9. Experience working in Agile and TDD/BDD environments using JUnit, Rest Assured, Cucumber, JBehave, Appium.
10. Familiarity with Apache Beam framework for data processing pipelines.
11. Strong understanding of security principles, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.
12. Database experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
13. Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with RunDeck or similar job automation tools.
2. Technical agility and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues quickly.
3. Background in large-scale enterprise systems and high-availability solutions.
