Job Title: Senior Backend Software Developer (Python, Java, AWS) – Fintech

Location: Work from Home 100% Open to Mexico, Brazil, Colombia

Employment Type: Full time 1 year Contractor.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer with expertise in Python, Java, and AWS to join our dynamic fintech team. In this role, you will:

1. Collect, instrument and enhance data observability, reliability, and quality through platform and tooling development.
2. Build scalable solutions for data collection.
3. Validation, monitoring, and ingestion to ensure high-quality and well-managed data pipelines.

Must haves

1. 6+ years of hands-on experience developing data and feature engineering applications, including design, implementation, debugging, monitoring, and support.
2. Strong proficiency in Python AND Java.
3. AWS services: Lambda, EMR, SQS, SNS, RDS, S3.
4. Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architecture.
5. Solid understanding of backend fundamentals, including APIs, data storage, and distributed systems.
6. Experience in building data platforms and tools that enable actionable insights and drive business decisions.
7. Proven ability to own and deliver end-to-end solutions, including troubleshooting and optimization.

Nice to haves

1. Experience with Kafka.
