Job Summary

As a Java tech lead, you will make a significant contribution to software development, maintenance, and performance improvement. You will be involved in every stage of the digital product development lifecycle, from planning and architecture to release, distribution, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team towards the client;
2. Work in a dynamic team to provide solutions with Java and NodeJS applications;
3. Lead technical discussions with the team;
4. Ensure the team operates efficiently in technical activities;
5. Participate in the complete cycle of development from design, testing, and deployment;
6. Discuss trade-offs of different design approaches;
7. Ensure the project adheres to timelines, quality standards, and best practices;
8. Maintain project quality;
9. Help unblock team members;
10. Provide technical mentorship to the team;
11. Coordinate with the project manager to plan sprints and deliverables.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on object-oriented programming experience in Java;
• Hands-on object-oriented experience in Javascript/NodeJS;
• Experience with AngularJS;
• Experience in database development, both SQL and NoSQL: development, maintenance, analysis;
• Experience developing Restful APIs;
• Experience working in agile teams;
• Experience with code versioning with Git;
• Experience in AWS cloud services.

Highly Desirable Skills

• Development of secure web applications;
• Experience with modeling, producing, and consuming web service-based APIs (RESTful or SOAP);
• Experience with Jenkins;
• Experience with Jira and Confluence;
• Experience with Gitlab Automation;
• Experience with Apache Camel.
