The IT Release Management Lead will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of software releases across multiple environments. This role will ensure that releases are delivered on time, within scope, and with minimal disruption to business operations.
What will you do?
Release Management Leadership:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve release management processes and policies.
- Plan and coordinate release schedules and ensure alignment with business goals and project timelines.
- Manage the end-to-end release process, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
- Collaborate with Digital Delivery, Platform Services, and Operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient release cycles.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with releases to ensure minimal impact on production environments.
- Monitor and report on release progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve release management processes, incorporating stakeholder feedback and best practices.
- Partner with Cybersecurity to ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements during the release process.
What do you need for this role:
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (required).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of IT release management experience.
- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Experience in process improvement.
- Experience working on multiple projects or cross-functional initiatives.
