Description:
The IT manager will lead a team of analysts who support the business areas in all their technology needs. He/She will set the strategic direction for the team and ensure adequate solutions are utilized by effectively managing competing and shifting priorities. Collaborate with business partners and subject matter experts in technology and support areas to implement and support business requirements and function goals within entity policy, expense, and regulatory constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads and facilitates change through effective communication, preparation, and implementation.
- Manages expectations, results, and impact of agreed outcomes, thinking ahead to identify and overcome potential issues.
- Maintains awareness of business strategies and emerging technologies to provide high-quality, technical solutions which support business goals and technical strategies.
- Architects complex, large-scale change solutions, specifying all elements of the change journey and audience impacts. Steers and guides the team to deliver change implementation activities, and provides regular updates to stakeholders.
- Demonstrates effective financial skills to develop a detailed business case, including investments, detailed benefits (financial, non-financial, and strategic), and link to overall finances of the business.
- Works collaboratively with Senior Managers from other areas in IT to ensure stakeholder and customer requirements are met.
- Builds key relationships with customers, discussing functional strategies, upcoming technologies, and potential risks and regulatory issues with vendors.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to organize IT services to improve business operations in collaboration with other areas.
- Establishes methods and criteria to observe progress and achieve excellence in all aspects of delivery to meet customer requirements.
- Establishes effective relationships across the business structure/matrix to ensure better engagement and higher quality and effectiveness of deployment.
- Uses expertise to develop both high and poor performers and shares knowledge by coaching and sponsoring training solutions where appropriate.
- Embeds efficient risk, compliance processes, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
