Software Engineer – Senior Full Stack (Remote)

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop robust front-end and back-end components.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and optimize performance and security.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Drive improvements in architecture, code quality, and development processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience and strong proficiency in:
• Backend: Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), RESTful APIs
• Search & Indexing: ElasticSearch
• DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins, Bash scripting, Git
• Architecture: Microservices, containerization, authentication
• Testing: TDD/BDD methodologies
• Language: English proficiency for written and verbal communication
• Experience with mobile-responsive design
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to clean code principles (DRY, SOLID)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to Have

• Experience on engineering enablement or platform teams or contributing engineering-wide initiatives
• Experience with a platform of multiple services
• Experience shipping features to customers in collaboration with design and product management
• DevOps or SRE experience with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform

Location & Employment Details

This is a CLT contract with full benefits, paid in $BRL.

In addition, this role is remote with Teachable’s Brazil and US-based teams; we are hiring talented engineers in Brazil. This position is hybrid to our São Paulo office; local employees tend to use the São Paulo office 1-2 times a week. Fluency in English is required due to daily collaboration with American colleagues.
