Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer/Analyst to act as the liaison between our operations teams and IT departments. In this role, you will understand both the technical aspects of our applications and the operational processes within the company, ensuring effective communication and solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Liaison Role: Serve as the key contact between operations and IT, ensuring clear communication on requirements, capabilities, and deliverables.
  2. Application Understanding: Develop in-depth knowledge of organizational applications and their operational use to support and optimize them.
  3. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with operations to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  4. Process Mapping: Work with operational teams to map processes, identify improvements, and recommend technological solutions.
  5. Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Assist with technical issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions.
  6. Project Coordination: Support IT projects aimed at operational improvements, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  7. Training & Documentation: Provide training and develop documentation on systems and workflows.
  8. Collaboration with Tech Support: Work with IT to prioritize and resolve technical incidents affecting operations.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identify automation, integration, and process enhancement opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's in IT, Business Administration, or related; or equivalent experience. 5+ years in IT Infrastructure with exposure to business operations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in business applications, systems, software; understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, databases, cloud tech; familiarity with systems integration and data flow.
  • Operational Knowledge: Deep understanding of business processes in relevant industries such as shipping, logistics, etc.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent English (verbal and written); ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze operational needs and map to technical solutions; troubleshooting skills.
  • Project Management: Experience managing or supporting small to medium IT projects from planning to execution.
