Job Summary:

In this role you will support the Caterpillar Transportation IT systems to ensure we meet the needs of our customer. You will assist with core development functions like requirement gathering, development, testing and implementing into our production systems to aid our global transportation needs.

What You Will Do:

• Participates in IT functions like developing, coding and testing computer programs.

• Assist in preparing technical and procedural documentation.

• Assist with detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for simple application programs.

• Participate in contributing solutions for programming system operations, including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.

What you have - Skills:

• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

• Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

• System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.

• System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related areas.

• Pre-Advanced English.

Top Candidates will have:

• Mastery of the software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, effort estimation, development, testing, and deployment.

• Strong Java development skills with a focus on clean code and architecture.

• Expertise in Oracle SQL for optimized queries.

• Familiarity with Git for version control.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and timeline estimation.

• Advanced/Fluent English.

This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week.
