Resumo da oferta

Insight Global in Brazil seeks a motivated Data Analyst to turn healthcare data into clear, actionable insights that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

You will translate business questions into analytical requirements, validate numbers, and explain results to non-technical stakeholders. You will work with Databricks SQL, dbt marts, and Zeno BI dashboards, ensuring outputs are correct even without building production pipelines.

Qualificações

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience as a data analyst, analytics intern, or similar role (healthcare, value-based care, or related field preferred)
  • Working proficiency in SQL, including joins, aggregation, window functions, and CTEs, and comfort querying a cloud data warehouse (Databricks preferred; Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift also acceptable)
  • Demonstrated ability to reconcile and validate a dataset against an independent source and explain a variance — not just produce a number
  • Experience building or contributing to dashboards in a modern BI tool (Power BI, Looker, or similar)
  • Foundational understanding of healthcare data sources such as claims, EHR, HEDIS, and risk adjustment — academic or internship exposure counts
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and HIPAA-compliant practices
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a habit of sanity-checking your own work before it ships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to run a requirements conversation with a non-technical stakeholder
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment
  • Basic proficiency in Python or similar for analysis and lightweight automation
  • Exposure to dbt — reading models, tests, and documentation; understanding how a mart is assembled
  • Familiarity with version control and pull-request workflows in Git
  • Understanding of CMS quality programs (HEDIS, MIPS, Star Ratings), risk adjustment and RAF/HCC concepts, or population health
  • Experience working with payor eligibility, attribution, or claims extract files

Responsabilidades

  • Turn healthcare data into clear, actionable insights to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Translate business questions into analytical requirements and validate results.
  • Review datasets and dashboards in Databricks SQL and dbt marts; check numbers for correctness.
  • Explain results to non-technical stakeholders and support data-driven decisions.
  • Support Zeno BI dashboards and understand how marts are assembled (building models not required).
  • You are not expected to build or own production pipelines; focus on ensuring outputs are correct.

Descrição da oferta de emprego

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Data Analyst who will help turn healthcare data into clear, actionable insights that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will be the connection between the people who ask the questions — clinical operations, product, finance, and quality — and the data team that answers them.

You will spend your time understanding what our existing datasets and dashboards actually mean, translating business questions into clear analytical requirements, checking that the numbers we publish are correct, and explaining the results to people who do not work in data all day. You will work in Databricks SQL (Unity Catalog), read and interpret dbt-built marts, and support Zeno BI dashboards (our custom BI application). You are not expected to build or own production pipelines — you are expected to know the outputs cold and catch it when they are wrong.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/.
