Your impact and purpose: As a Software Engineer at Traject Data, you'll help shape the foundation of our web applications and services across the stack. From building clean, intuitive user experiences to designing scalable backend APIs, your work will help deliver reliable and performant products to our users. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and fellow Engineers—contributing to feature planning, system architecture, and hands-on implementation. We're looking for a well-rounded engineer comfortable working across frontend and backend, with curiosity and passion for building software.

What you'll do:

• Build and maintain features across the stack, from React UIs to backend services and APIs.
• Design and implement well-structured, tested, and reusable code in frontend and backend contexts.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to scope, plan, and deliver user-centric features.
• Improve platform reliability and performance, from UI responsiveness to backend scalability.
• Work with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP) and modern deployment pipelines.
• Stay current with best practices and propose improvements to tools and processes.

What you'll need:

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of Node.js, SQL/NoSQL databases, and server-side logic.
• Familiarity with modern CSS methodologies (CSS-in-JS, PostCSS, Sass).
• Comfort working in full-stack environments, even if leaning frontend or backend.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• A mindset of continuous learning and openness to new technologies.
• Bonus: experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, or frontend performance optimization.
