Job summary

BEES, AB InBev’s B2B platform, seeks a skilled backend engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize Java-based services. You will design APIs, implement microservices, and collaborate with product managers and QA to deliver scalable solutions in a distributed environment.

The role emphasizes clean code, testing, code reviews, and proactive troubleshooting, with a focus on reliability and observability across cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

  • Backend development experience with Java
  • Experience with Spring Boot and ecosystem
  • Ability to design and consume RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka/RabbitMQ
  • Proficient Git workflows and CI/CD basics
  • Cloud platform familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Observability via logging, monitoring, metrics

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java.

What you will do:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java.

We are looking for people with:
  • Intermediate English skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Experience developing backend applications using Java.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Clean Code,SOLID principles, and software design patterns.
  • Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of observability concepts, including logging, monitoring, and metrics.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
