AB InBev Growth Group in Campinas, Brazil, seeks a backend engineer skilled in Java and Spring Boot to design and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs. You will enhance observability and collaborate across teams to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates have experience with databases, message queues, and DevOps culture, plus good English communication. Degree in CS or related field required.

Qualificações

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot in building backend services.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting production issues.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to microservices evolution, ensuring performance, resilience, and maintainability.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and integrations across distributed systems.
• Improve system observability, monitoring, and logging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
• Participate in architecture decisions and CI/CD practices.
• Follow engineering best practices and Scrum rituals.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot;
• Contribute to the evolution of microservices architecture, ensuring performance, resilience, and maintainability;
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and integrations across distributed systems;
• Improve system observability, monitoring, and logging;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with business needs;
• Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives;
• Follow engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, automation, code reviewsand CI/CD pipelines;
• Actively participate in Scrum Rituals (Planning, Daily, Review, Retrospective).

What you'll need:

• Experience with observability tools (New Relic, Datadog, etc), monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting production issues.
• Good active listening skills, and the ability to empathize with customers, stakeholders, and other software engineers.
• Experience working using Agile methodology in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Differentials:
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Some knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).

• Support Sr. Developers in technical solutions.
• Ability to refine tasks and help the team find the best solutions.
• Maintain and ensure quality throughout the applications.
• Perform code reviews based on defined code standards.
