Job summary

AB InBev BEES is AB InBev’s B2B platform serving merchants and retailers across 29 countries. This role focuses on building and maintaining backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java, with emphasis on scalable, reliable solutions and integration with internal and external systems.

You will collaborate across teams to implement features and ensure code quality. The ideal candidate has strong Java experience, Spring Boot proficiency, and solid knowledge of databases, messaging, and cloud

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Experience developing backend applications using Java.
  • Solid understanding of OOP, Clean Code, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
  • Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of observability concepts including logging, monitoring, and metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java.
  • Implement new features based on business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.

What you will do:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java.

We are looking for people with:

  • Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.

  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of observability concepts, including logging, monitoring, and metrics.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
