A mental health organization in Brazil is seeking a California Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor for a role focused on client engagement and recovery. What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct intakes and assessments to identify clients' individual recovery needs
- Develop and implement care plans to guide clients through their recovery journey
- Outreach to engage and re-engage referred clients, educating them about available services
- Collaborate with the treatment team, including medical director and counselors, to create comprehensive treatment plans
- Build strong relationships with clients to foster trust and support throughout their treatment process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- California Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (or equivalent) - I or higher
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in addiction treatment
- At least 1 year of experience in intake or engagement-focused roles
- Strong ability to work independently and take ownership of client engagement
- Excellent interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport with clients

- Experience working with marginalized and underserved communities
- Familiarity with harm reduction approaches in treatment
- Background in collaborative team environments
- Additional certifications or training in mental health or addiction treatment
