Farfetch is seeking an Indirect Tax consultant to support VAT matters across the Group, reporting to the Senior VAT Manager. You will work with multiple locations, ensuring compliance and driving VAT initiatives in a global, fast-paced environment.

The position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the Porto area office and 2 days from home, enabling close collaboration with Finance, Tech, and Product teams.

Qualificações

• Indirect Tax consultant with 2-3 years of experience.
• Experience in EU VAT is required.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Strong communication and ability to interact across departments.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with day-to-day advisory support to the Group regarding VAT issues.
• Support monitoring of tax technology solutions and VAT updates.
• Assist in integration of new business lines and projects within the Group.
• Track indirect tax legislation to ensure compliance and awareness.
• Monitor workflows and keep tax documentation updated.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors as needed.
• Provide tax guidance and planning where appropriate.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Senior VAT Manager, you will work together with the wider team in supporting the overall FARFETCH Group on all VAT matters.

This is indeed a great opportunity to work in-house and experience first‑hand what it is like to work VAT from a business perspective and without any country boundaries, as you will be working with multiple locations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Assist with day-to-day advisory support to the Group regarding VAT issues and questions

• Support your management with the monitoring of our tax technology solutions (already implemented) within the Group as well as VAT updates and new regulations

• Support the wider team in integration of new business lines, transactions and projects / procedures within the Group. You will be actively supporting in the design of solutions and / or improvements proposals and respective implementations

• Actively track and monitor relevant indirect tax legislation to ensure overall compliance and awareness within the Group

• Monitor indirect tax workflows and keep tax related documentation updated

• Work with the wider Indirect Tax team (including our internal compliance & Reporting team) in any Indirect Tax workstreams

• When necessary, you will liaise with external advisors where appropriate to provide tax advice and planning for the business, as required

WHO YOU ARE

• Indirect Tax consultant with minimum of 2-3 years of experience

• Experience in EU VAT required

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• High sense of responsibility and autonomy are a requirement

• Previous experience in e-commerce and / or fashion industry is an advantage

• Good communication skills and ability to interact with different types of backgrounds as our team has direct contact with several departments, ranging from Tech to Product and Finance areas

• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to respond under stress and adapt to our fast pace and daily changing reality
