Qualificações

About the role

This position is responsible for procurement and commodity management for the Indirect Spend categories, such as Chemical, Packaging, Logistics, Freight, General Services, and Indirect on its plant scope. The Indirect Spend Coordinator will participate in Cross Functional Teams and support the Indirect Spend Manager with sourcing implementation plans.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Implement sourcing strategies for all indirect categories within scope.
2. Collaborate with process partners to gather and assess requirements.
3. Manage relationships with suppliers.
4. Track and report commodity performance metrics.
5. Develop internal and external category profiles.
6. Create and implement supplier evaluation criteria.
7. Review supplier responses to Requests for Proposals.
8. Develop bid packages and administer RFP/RFQ/RFI processes using a 7-step methodology.
9. Assess supplier capabilities and recommend a shortlist of suppliers for bidding.
10. Build a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and supplier ranking matrix.
11. Resolve issues between suppliers and process partners.
12. Prepare fact-based briefs for supplier meetings.
13. Implement sourcing contracts.
14. Identify and communicate supplier diversity opportunities.
15. Oversee transactional order placement.
16. Identify potential supplier development opportunities.
17. Develop alternative sourcing options for categories.
18. Ensure continuous supply of goods and services to the plants within scope.
19. Manage technical purchases (maintenance, facility management, spare parts, forklift, etc.).
20. Analyze historical spend data and budgets to help define category strategies.
21. Operationally manage all spend activities, including purchase orders and invoice follow-up.
22. Partner with internal customers to understand business needs.
23. Research market forces and evaluate vendors.
24. Apply purchasing process flows aligned with category strategies.
25. Define specific terms and conditions.
26. Negotiate proposals and finalize contracts.
27. Manage contracts effectively.
28. Support supplier relationship management.
29. Drive continuous improvement in cost and service for assigned categories.
30. Monitor results in spend reduction and savings.
31. Implement and track KPIs to ensure team performance aligns with company targets.

Scope:

• All Brazil
• Up to 10% travel to factories in the region, depending on priorities and ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Administration or Engineering in a technical field is a plus.
• Solid experience in indirect spend purchasing, preferably in food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
• Experience in large-scale transformation projects or enterprise PMO functions.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficient in SAP and MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of the Brazilian tax system related to purchasing activities.
• This position offers high visibility within the business.
