Position Summary

The Indire ct Procurement Specialist – CAPEX & Engineering will be responsible for managing capital expenditure procurement with a strong focus on engineering and turnkey projects, while also supporting a broader portfolio of indirect spend categories across the region.

Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement LATAM, this role plays a key part in delivering cost-effective, compliant, and timely sourcing aligned with Lubrizol’s strategic objectives.

The position requires close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and Project Management teams, strong engagement with key suppliers, and consistent delivery of value through negotiation, supplier relationship management, and project execution support. This is a hybrid position, with three days per week on-site at our São Paulo office at Parque da Cidade (Morumbi).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies with a primary focus on CAPEX and engineering-related categories (turnkey and construction services, infrastructure, utilities, and equipment).
  • Act as the main procurement interface for engineering and project management functions, ensuring alignment of technical requirements, project timelines, and cost objectives.
  • Lead negotiations and contract management activities through CLM, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and cost drivers related to engineering and capital projects to identify opportunities for cost optimization, innovation, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Engineering, HR, and Legal to support regional procurement initiatives.
  • Contribute to procurement KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts across indirect spend.
  • Support strategic sourcing alignment across LATAM, ensuring process consistency and value creation.
Desired Background and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of procurement experience, including proven expertise in CAPEX procurement and engineering projects.
  • Solid understanding of EPC, EPCM, and Turnkey contract structures, and supplier qualification for engineering projects.
  • Experience managing complex sourcing projects in multinational or matrixed environments.
  • Knowledge of local tax regulations and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) environments is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ownership, strategic mindset, and customer focus.
