What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and administer comprehensive HR programs including recruiting, employee development, benefits, and employee relations
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies
- Develop and manage a performance-based evaluation system for staff
- Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs and maintain HR records
- Provide leadership and guidance to HR Managers within the department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in human resources, personnel management, or a related field
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in public personnel administration and management
- Demonstrated proficiency in multiple areas of human resource management
- Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and public personnel administration
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships in complex situations
