Job Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as the primary HR representative for our Brazil operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Brazilian labor laws and union regulations, supporting local employees, and collaborating with the broader HR team across the Americas. The HRBP will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, fostering a culture of engagement, performance, and continuous development.

Location: São José dos Campos - State of São Paulo, Brazil

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with departmental and team leaders as well as employees.

  • Provide consultative support to managers on people management best practices, performance, and team development.

  • Partner with Training & Development to implement learning initiatives tailored to local team needs.

  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, attendance, satisfaction) to identify trends and recommend improvements.

  • Manage local HR operations including employment contracts, timekeeping, and administrative tasks.

  • Ensure compliance with Brazilian labor laws (CLT), union agreements, and collective bargaining obligations.

  • Support organizational climate initiatives and contribute to improving employee engagement.

  • Promote and facilitate employee participation in corporate programs and initiatives.

  • Lead or support investigations and resolution of workplace conflicts, including harassment prevention and response.

  • Implement and manage performance management tools (e.g., feedback systems, evaluations).

  • Collaborate with HR counterparts in the U.S. and Mexico to align on global HR strategies and share best practices.

Technical Attributes and Experience

  • HRIS Proficiency:Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (e.g., Jira, Workday, or similar platforms).

  • Data Analysis:Ability to analyze HR data and KPIs using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools to drive decision-making.

  • Labor Law Expertise:Deep understanding of Brazilian labor legislation (CLT), union dynamics, and collective bargaining processes.

  • Project Management:Experience leading or supporting HR projects, including policy implementation, change management, and organizational development.

  • Digital Communication Tools:Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) and virtual collaboration platforms.

  • Documentation & Reporting:Skilled in preparing HR reports, employment documentation, and compliance records.

  • Multinational Collaboration:Experience working in a matrixed or multinational environment, with cross-border HR coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a multinational or manufacturing environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of Brazilian labor laws, union relations, and HR compliance.

  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements and union negotiations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and build relationships.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills.

  • Fluent in Portuguese; proficiency in English required (Spanish a Plus)
