A Amazon está buscando um Head of Communications para o Prime Video e Amazon MGM Studios no Brasil. Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios – produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+ and HBO. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.
We are looking for a senior strategic communication professional to lead Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios in Brazil. Based in Sao Paulo and reporting to the Head of Communications for the Latin America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand region, you will be an entertainment communications professional who is experienced, capable of making high judgement decisions at speed, proven to manage independently, and lead teams effectively.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a track record in executing effective consumer content publicity and corporate communications campaigns for large organizations, and be experienced in handling sensitive issues, acting fast with high judgment, making the right measured decisions, and staying calm.
As the Head of Communications in Brazil, you will lead our corporate, content & consumer brand communications efforts for Prime Video services and Amazon MGM Studios global and original content. You will serve as a key advisor to Prime Video's senior business leaders, making important communications and business decisions in short timeframes while developing and executing strategic communications plans for both content (including original series, movies and live sports) and the Prime Video brand. Holding and nurturing relationships with local production partners, talent, and media will be essential as you lead your teams in executing communications for new content launches, features, campaigns, and partnerships to maximize positive coverage and awareness both locally and globally. Additionally, as a senior leader within Amazon's broader Communications and Corporate Responsibility (CCR) organization, you will play a crucial role in demonstrating Amazon's positive impact through Prime Video's contributions to the local creative economy.
To succeed in this role, you must have extraordinarily high judgment, energy, creativity, standards for yourself and others, writing, leadership skills and relationships with key media. You must be willing to think long term, without forgetting to manage the short term. You will be responsible for measuring, maintaining and improving the quality of our outreach, in the process working with content, technology and business teams as needed.
Excellent writing skills in English and Portuguese are imperative for this role. The successful candidate must think and communicate clearly with both local and international colleagues, creating a concise and well-written narrative to express this opinion. You will develop creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges. The successful candidate will be prepared to roll up their sleeves and get work done, even when at times it sits outside the scope of the role's direct remit.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
o Lead and execute comprehensive communications strategies for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios in Brazil
o Serve as strategic advisor to senior business leaders, providing counsel on communications and business decisions
o Drive the strategic narrative for corporate initiatives, content releases and product, technology and innovation narratives
Brand & Corporate Communications
o Develop and maintain crisis management protocols and reputation management strategies
o Lead proactive brand communications initiatives to strengthen Prime Video's position in the Brazilian market
o Develop and execute launch strategies for new features, products, and service innovations
o Create compelling narratives that resonate with Brazilian audiences while aligning with global messaging
Content Communications
o Oversee communications campaigns for Original series, films, live sports, and licensed content, including supporting local activity for biggest global Originals
Stakeholder Management
o Hold and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, including production partners and talent
o Maximize established relationships with top-tier journalists and media outlets across entertainment, business, and technology sectors to secure high-impact coverage and amplify Prime Video messaging
o Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to ensure alignment of communications strategies
o Partner with local production companies and creative talent to maximize visibility of Brazilian content
Department Leadership
o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of communications professionals
o Oversee external agency relationships and partnerships
o Manage communications budget and resources effectively
o Foster a culture of creativity, agility, and excellence while serving as a key member of the region’s Comms senior leadership team
• 15+ years of communications experience, with significant experience in entertainment, media, or technology sectors
• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
• Experience leading communications campaigns in Brazil
• Network of media and industry contacts
• Written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese
• Crisis management experience

• Deep understanding of the Brazilian media landscape and entertainment industry
