What You Will Do

• Architect, build, and maintain systems responsible for financial exam reporting which directly integrate with blockchain technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement elegant solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and the company’s overarching strategy.
• Integrate with blockchain technologies and protocols, emphasizing secure connections, data flow, and adaptability to the evolving needs of the business.
• Continuously stay updated with the latest trends in backend and blockchain development, ensuring Bastion is using optimal technology.
• Establish a scalable architecture to support current business needs, while remaining adaptable to future customer demands and market trends.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong coding skills in core backend languages (e.g., Python, Scala, Go, or TypeScript).
• Experience with databases such as Snowflake and Postgres.
• Proven ability to build compliance tooling in fast-paced environments, especially in fintech or blockchain.
• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, GDPR) and their impact on tech and ops.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, legal, risk, ops) to ship compliance-focused solutions.
• Ability to turn complex compliance requirements into scalable, robust backend systems.
• Customer-centric approach and strong execution mindset.
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

Nice to Haves

• Prior experience in the blockchain space, especially involving cross-border payments or financial reporting.
• Familiarity with blockchain protocols and integrations.
