Job summary

MICRON SEMICONDUCTOR ASIA OPERATIONS PTE LTD seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead new construction project planning for semiconductor facilities. You will define objectives, scope and deliverables with stakeholders, and prepare long-term plans with cost and schedule reports for management review.

The role requires 3+ years of project management experience, strong communication and leadership, and proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognised institute.
• 3+ years in project management and scheduling/planning.
• Experience in large-scale construction, preferably semiconductor fab.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the new construction project planning process.

• Establish project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with user requirements.

• Prepare new project Space, Cost & schedule report & long-term plan reports for management review.

• Develop and manage initial project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.

• Maintain effective communication with project team members and respective stakeholders to provide project updates/ reporting, address concerns and foster strong working relationships between team members.

• Ensure Roles, Responsibilities and Accountabilities are fully understood by the project team members.

• Collect, classify, and evaluate data and information used in supporting the Micron new construction project planning evaluation request.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from a recognised institute of higher learning.

• Experience in Project Program management / Planning / Schedule Control is highly valued.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management.

• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Construction Project management software, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Good analytical skills with problem solving aptitude.

• Ability to integrate, work collaboratively and proactively in a team environment.

• Able to complete projects in a timely manner.

• Relevant professional certification in project management or construction management, like Project Management Professional (PMP) or LEED certification.

• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.

• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Minimum Experience & Skills:

• 3 years’ experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably in Semiconductor Fab construction or related Facilities construction in high tech/ Pharmaceutical/ Oil & Gas industries.=

• Demonstrable experience in the Construction or Semiconductor ProjectManagement and/or other relevant industries is strongly preferred.

• Strong financial understanding and experience in project cost estimate/ budgeting/ cost control.

• Proven track record of successful project delivery.

• Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits and approval processes will be highly valued.

• Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them clearly to others.

• Strong organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate stakeholders from different departments and background.

• Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and proactively in a team environment.
