Req#: 2994700 The Amazon First Mile team is looking for a First Mile Operations Manager to raise the bar and ensure that every customer and seller across the country receives the speed, quality, and reliability they expect from Amazon.
As a First Mile Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading operations with multiple logistics partners and ensuring our sellers have an exceptional experience using our Marketplace. This role will serve as a critical liaison between the Business, Seller Operations, and Routing teams, reporting directly to the First Mile Leader.
Key job responsibilities
- Comfortable working in different roles — sometimes supporting, sometimes leading — with the ability to roll up their sleeves and jump in when needed.
- Develop and implement initiatives that drive continuous improvement by simplifying processes, creating additional value, and reducing costs.
- Identify process gaps through deep dives into metrics and implement operational improvements.
- Benchmark against other countries and industry players to optimize the First Mile (FM) operations network and routing systems.
- Redesign the FM network to accommodate volume growth and vehicle availability.
- Support FM expansion in collaboration with other Program Managers.
- Align capacity needs with logistics partners and scout new partners when necessary.
- Build strong relationships with third-party operational leaders and Amazon stakeholders to accelerate problem-solving and prevent issues that could impact the customer and seller experience.
- Establish robust mechanisms and KPIs to drive improvements in daily operations.
- Ensure compliance and delivery quality while maintaining a strong focus on user experience.- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in employee and performance management
- Proven track record of leading large, diverse teams
- Experience scouting and developing delivery partners
- Experience working with external suppliers
- Experience in complex transportation operations
- Experience using data and metrics to identify and drive improvements
- Experience in distribution and/or fulfillment processes, ideally in a fast-paced e-commerce environment
- Fluent in Portuguese and English
- Availability to travel and work from different locations (20–30% of the time)
- Availability to work from Osasco- Bachelor's degree preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering or Logistics;
- MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.
