The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects within Thomson Reuter’s Tax product portfolio. This role involves managing multiple teams across different geographies to deliver projects on time and within budget. The PM will manage stakeholders, define project scope, create schedules & resource plans, monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and communicate status to senior management. This individual will also provide leadership to team members by coaching them in their professional development as well as providing mentoring opportunities.
About the Role
As a Project Manager at Thomson Reuters, you will:
- Deliver multiple tax products/projects concurrently against strict timelines.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with project sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project charters and ensure they are approved prior to commencing work on each project.
- Create comprehensive schedules / Gantt charts, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate resources with other departments and vendors as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal customers (senior management), external customers, and vendor partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide weekly updates to project sponsors and senior management regarding progress and issues.
- Identify dependencies proactively and manage resources to meet deadlines.
- Monitor progress against schedule and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure quality standards are met and change control procedures are followed.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in software development using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Experience in TAX Project Management in Thomson Reuters solutions (TAX ONE or TAX ONE FOR SAP).
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with rapidly changing requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multi-task effectively while maintaining high organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
