Principal challenge of the position:

Manage the Quality Control activities for Finished Products and Raw Materials at the Sumaré site, executing the area strategy to ensure safety, quality, cost, productivity, inventory control, maintenance, and deadlines are met as planned.

Responsibilities and duties:
  • Manage activities related to raw material processes, supplier quality, finished products, metrology, and laboratory quality management through defined objectives and indicators.
  • Oversee the quality management system, ensuring process standardization and certification maintenance.
  • Participate in product development and validate analytical processes.
  • Lead investigations and handling of internal and external complaints related to Quality Control.
  • Coordinate calibration activities and control of measurement devices used in the organization.
  • Plan and conduct quality training within your scope.
  • Coordinate evaluation and process checks related to the quality system within laboratories (Internal Audits, Customer Audits, Certification Body Audits).
  • Lead improvement projects in Quality Control laboratories.
  • Lead activities related to process and method standardization, aligning with global practices of PPG.
  • Manage investments and budgets for the area.
Essential requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (Chemistry or Engineering, preferably Chemistry)
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Knowledge of Quality Tools (MASP, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, CEP, MSA)
Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of laboratory and manufacturing equipment/instruments
  • VDA QMC Auditor certification
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • ISO/TS 16949 Auditor certification
  • Six Sigma certification
