Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ger Engenheiro de Dados with strong expertise in data architecture, data engineering, and a basic understanding of data products and data mesh. The Data Engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary Agile team to build high-quality data pipelines driving analytic solutions. These solutions will generate insights from the organization's connected data, enabling data-driven decision-making. This role requires an agile learner, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to solve complex data problems and deliver insights to support analytics strategy. At Bunge, you will be at the forefront of leveraging data analytics and technology to feed and fuel the world in a better, faster, and simpler way.

Essential Functions:

1. Create data products for analytics and data scientist team members to improve their productivity
2. Mentor and coach other data and analytic professionals on data standards and practices
3. Foster a culture of sharing, re-use, scalability, and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions
4. Lead the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging tools and processes for analytic data engineering to improve organizational productivity
5. Develop and deliver communication and education plans on analytic data engineering capabilities, standards, and processes
6. Partner with business analysts and solution architects to develop technical architectures for strategic enterprise projects
7. Learn about machine learning, data science, computer vision, AI, statistics, and applied mathematics
8. Ensure timely analysis and testing for maintenance of solutions over time
9. Establish and implement data strategy for supply chain
10. Design and develop scalable solutions with international scope
11. Be recognized as an external thought leader in Data Engineering and Architecture

Knowledge and Technical Competencies:

• Skilled in data engineering, Python, dbt, SQL, data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills
• Ability to design data architecture supporting analytics squads
• Evaluate cloud services for cost-efficient solutions
• Deep understanding of data mesh concepts
• Assist in structuring data architecture solutions for business
• Develop business awareness of use cases
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering; Postgraduate or PhD preferred
• 6+ years experience in data engineering or architecture; 10+ preferred
• Expertise in SQL and data analysis; experience with Python or Scala
• Experience with data warehouses, cloud solutions, Hadoop, BigQuery, relational, NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL, data governance, warehousing, structured/unstructured data
• Big Data experience with Hive, Impala, Spark
• Proven leadership in mentoring juniors, acting as a technical consultant, and contributing to data science projects
• Domain expertise and stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to lead meetings, delegate tasks, and ensure project delivery
