The role…

At Soho House, the General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the business, including operational efficiency, member/guest experience, staff retention, and profitability. The General Manager manages daily staff operations, embodies the Soho House brand ethos, and ensures exceptional member and guest experiences. They are strategic leaders and business partners across departments, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to create memorable moments through staff, food, drinks, events, and amenities.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Executive Chef, Head of Operations, and COO to develop strategic objectives that enhance performance and profitability.

Main Duties
  1. Lead and partner strategically with stakeholders to deliver consistent, innovative, and profitable experiences.
  2. Assess daily and weekly business performance, providing reports that inform action plans for operational improvements and profit optimization.
  3. Ensure compliance with food safety, allergy procedures, and legal standards, partnering with Health & Safety leaders.
  4. Collaborate with Head Office functions to drive sales, staff and member retention, and operational efficiency across HR, F&B, Marketing, Finance, and Facilities.
  5. Oversee regional events and big moments, ensuring smooth, profitable execution.
  6. Develop policies, procedures, and systems to improve service, retention, and overall experience.
  7. Lead marketing initiatives and partnerships in conjunction with other departments.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications
  1. Minimum 10+ years managing high-volume F&B or multi-unit operations.
  2. Knowledge of local food safety, risk prevention, and emergency procedures.
  3. Experience in hiring, supporting team growth, and development.
  4. Ability to analyze service trends and implement improvements.
  5. Proven leadership in managing F&B operations focused on service excellence.
  6. Strong business acumen, hospitality, and guest satisfaction focus.
  7. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and detail orientation skills.
Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to handle objects, work on feet for extended periods, and lift at least 40 pounds.
  2. Work in a fast-paced environment and operate computer for several hours daily.
  3. Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
