AgileEngine is seeking a Full Stack Technical Lead to resolve production issues on a live, high-traffic hiring product. You will pair deep technical ownership across Java, Python, and React with the ability to lead and mentor engineers through ambiguity.

This role blends hands-on engineering with real client impact, keeping complex systems reliable under pressure and driving architecture changes to support hiring events.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Java/Spring Boot backend stack is the first priority.
• Django/Python as secondary backend stack.
• React for frontend development.
• Build and deployment experience.
• Experience with at least one: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.
• Senior-level engineer able to ramp up quickly and own multiple projects.
• Strong ownership, autonomy, and ability to merge/deploy code without hand-holding.
• Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong communication and prioritization skills.

Responsabilidades

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full Stack Technical Lead to resolve production issues on a live, high-traffic hiring product. You will pair deep technical ownership across Java, Python, and React with the ability to lead and mentor engineers through ambiguity. This role blends hands-on engineering with real client impact, keeping complex systems reliable under pressure.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Analyze and resolve production issues, with particular emphasis on ongoing, in-progress hiring events.
• Partner closely with client-facing teams to triage and address incoming support tickets.
• Drive timely issue resolution to meet established SLAs.
• Monitor production systems and respond quickly to alerts or performance degradation ("going red").
• Support architecture changes and system integrations that may impact hiring events.
• Maintain and update event logic in response to changes in dependencies and upstream systems.

MUST HAVES

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Java/Spring Boot as the primary backend stack (Event Management Backend, Lobby Backend) — first priority.
• Django/Python as a secondary backend stack (Event Management Backend, Lobby Backend) — second priority.
• React for frontend development (Event Management Frontend, Lobby Frontend, IRL Frontend, Jobseeker Frontend).
• Build and deployment experience.
• Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.
• Senior-level engineer able to ramp up quickly and assume ownership across multiple concurrent projects.
• High level of ownership and autonomy, including taking initiative and owning tasks—specifically merging and deploying code—without requiring hand-holding.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously.
• Technical leadership experience, including the ability to lead, shepherd, and onboard other engineers on the team's behalf (senior engineering experience alone is not sufficient for this Tech Lead role).
• Demonstrated experience overseeing or coordinating the work of others.
• Clear and concise communication.
• Ability to manage and navigate ambiguity.
• Prioritization and strategic thinking.
• Ability to use data to troubleshoot production issues.

NICE TO HAVES

• Product management experience partnering with GTM teams and engineers to support prioritization.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf.
